I’ve been a little obsessed with painting…
painting sleep patterns. You see, I have a Fitbit Charge, one of those fitness watches. While I initially got it to encourage me to keep moving consistently, I have become enthralled by the Sleep Pattern reports I get each day. I can visually see how restless I’ve been in the night, flopping, waking up, or just sleeping deeply and soundly. These reports gave me visions of what was going on in my sleep, the subconscious dream dance in my head. Where does my mind wander every night when my body lays so still?
So through my intuitive painting process, I have been painting layers upon layers of vivid dreams.
And finishing the layers with the landscape of outer sleep, what an astute observer might glean from my body language as I sleep.
Sometimes the turmoil on the inside is evident as I roll and turn, so much on my mind that my sleep never feels like it really comes.
But a peaceful slumber does is my favorite.
