AEDM Day 28

Encaustic Paper Soldered Earrings

More encaustic experimentation. The “waxed” paper was once yellowed, aging notebook paper. The heat and wax add that dreamy translucence that I love. The earrings I made the other day did not satisfy. Too heavy. I believe I love the handwriting on this paper better too. So fluid.

I’m also working on several commissions. There is a joy to finding the perfect fit for someone, and joy in the pursuit of that perfect.

And finally, I have several waxy pendants listed in my Etsy shop. The sale is going on for a couple more days, 15% off with the coupon code ACHOO. You can also access the my inventory by clicking Shop at the top of the page.

Love these and their simple elegance. I’m thinking you won’t have them in your shop for long! You said it so well and echoed my thoughts as I work on commissioned abstracts…’There is a joy to finding the perfect fit for someone, and joy in the pursuit of that perfect.’

These are beautiful – I loved the ones you did the other day, too. I love the quality of this photo and such a fun way to display them, hanging from . . . not sure, but it looks great!
