Reflection on pattern and abstraction of the subconscious

Art Every Day Month 2014 and change, 2 very good things

I almost missed it because I forgot it was November, but this will be my 7th year participating in Leah Piken Kolidas’ Art Every Day Month! Back in the olden days, I used to blog each day with my creations. Now my mode is Instagram with the aedm2014 hashtag. Life is so much simpler now.

Here are a few of the photos. World Origami Days (Oct 24-Nov 11) overlapped Art Every Day Month a bit, so the focus has been origami, always a delight for me.

But I’ve been dreaming of painting, literally, so the focus has now shifted. And my focus has really shifted in all parts of life. Boom.

After completing a very busy month for our video production business, I am taking a moment to re-evaluate our operations, my operations. I swear I almost died inside because I was too busy ‘working’ to paint. See those little scraps of paper debris in my painting? That is what was left of my soul after too many left-brain-only duties.

Now as I’m able to step back into the space that I love and find that balance of two worlds again, I am able to objectively view what I need to be doing and what I need to have someone else do. Changes are afoot. I love change.
