Blackbird Full Circle

Page in my altered hymnal 11/02/07:

Beatles song learned by my son on guitar this past couple weeks:

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise.

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to be free.

Blackbird fly blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.

Blackbird fly blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise.

Charm inspired by my son’s singing and guitar playing made yesterday:

so i really like this necklace… i hearted it on etsy… and i like your new look on the blog! 🙂 there’s more to do with the theme dont you think?

Thanks, Sheri. I’ve almost switched to this theme before, but I realized it was the same as yours. 🙂 But I keep being drawn back to it. I think it looks different enough though since we have distinct headers.
I really like this necklace too. I’m going to have to make one for my daughter. It’s her favorite.

Ooooooh. One of my all time favorite songs used in a redemption setting. Love the blackbirds. (What is it about them, anyway?) Love the necklace. Great work all the way.

Blackbird was the first song my son learned to play on his guitar years ago. Gives me goosebumps.

Nice Blackbird Post! You’ve posted one of my favoriate songs, one of my fav. bands, my fav. paper craft “altered book”…and the charm looks most interesting. But above all, you’ve shown us an endearing relationship, mother and son.
